Beardfish
Beardfish, the Swedish progressive rock band was formed in 2001 by frontman Rikard Sjoblom and guitarist David Zacrisson. Drummer Magnus Ostgren and bass player Robert Hansen soon followed making up their current lineup. Their style resembles progressive rock bands from the past, with noticeable nods to Frank Zappa and Gentle Giant. The band has grown in popularity since they hit the scene, Roine Stolt of The Flower Kings sang their praises and ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy proclaimed Beardfish to be his favorite new prog band. Classic prog sensibilities meet modern rock sound, a fitting combination to describe the music and sound of Beardfish. The band produced two independently released albums then were signed by Inside Out Music, where they released Sleeping in Traffic Pts 1 and 2, followed by Destined Solitude and their most current release, Mammoth. They are currently in the studio working on a new album to be released sometime in 2012.
Beardfish have performed at ProgDay, NEARfest, Europe's Symforce festival and countless other Euro gigs and are poised to appear at this year's Terra Incognita festival in Canada on the weekend of May 19th/20th, 2012. They will hit a few spots on their way to Canada, where they will perform in Baltimore at Orion Studios, in New Jersey as part the NJ Proghouse progressive music series and in Boston area's The Magic Room for NewEars.

The Tea Club
"The Tea Club is an independent rock band from New Jersey consisting of Patrick McGowan, Dan McGowan, Becky Osenenko, Charles Batdorf, and Joe Rizzolo. They are known for writing songs of an epic nature, comparative to the early progressive rock bands of the 1960's and 70's. They also incorporate elements of post-rock, alternative rock, and space rock. A major part of the band's signature sound are the dual vocals and harmonies of Patrick and Dan McGowan, as well as their usage of unique guitar chords and chord patterns, often times played in alternate tunings. The Tea Club was conceived in the Fall of 2003 by brothers Patrick and Dan McGowan, Kyle Minnick and Jim Berger. Jim Berger played in the band until 2005. In 2006, The Tea Club was discovered by producer/ engineer Tim Gilles (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday). Tim produced, recorded and mixed both of The Tea Club's full length albums, "General Winter's Secret Museum" (2008) and "Rabbit" (2009) at Big Blue Meenie Studios.
The Tea Club's second album, "Rabbit", was recorded with new bassist Becky Osenenko and featured guest keyboards by Tom Brislin (Spiraling, Yes). After the recording of "Rabbit", founding member Kyle Minnick left the band and was replaced by drummer Joe Rizzolo. Becky Osenenko switched to playing keyboards and Charles Batdorf took over the bass duties. The Tea Club released their second album, "Rabbit", on October 9th 2010. They spent the next year playing shows along the East Coast, including ProgDay 2011. Glowing articles and reviews about the band were published in music magazines such as Metro, JUMP, Indie Music Reviewer, and Origivation. The Tea Club is currently recording their third album with Tim Gilles at Big Blue Meenie Studios. The album is scheduled to be released in the Summer of 2012."
