Simon Collins has 3 solo albums under his belt, including chart topping singles and a Juno Award for his album U-Catastrophe (which featured Steve Hackett and father Phil Collins). Dave Kerzner has worked with some of the biggest artists in rock from Keith Emerson to Alan Parsons to members of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes and more. As a keyboardist he has been part of Kevin Gilbert’s bands Thud and Giraffe and has contributed to albums such as Steven Wilson’s Grace For Drowning and Steve Hackett’s Genesis Revisited 2. Matt Dorsey comes from Simon Collins’ solo band and has played with Sonic Reality and Beth Hart. Randy McStine recently released his Lo-Fi Resistance album “Chalk Lines” co-produced with Dave Kerzner. The album features musicians such as Porcupine Tree’s Gavin Harrison and Colin Edwin, Dug Pinnick from King’s X and John Giblin from Brand X. Ronen Gordon will be joining the band on additional drums. All together, Sound of Contact are rapidly becoming one of today’s hottest new live acts.
Edison’s Children is a chance for Pete Trewavas to take a more intimate approach and explore many other areas of his creativity. In the forthcoming album “In The Last Waking Moments…”, Pete will be joining up with one of his very good friends and long time friend of the band Marillion, Eric Blackwood to write and do some things he’s never done before… like sing lead vocals on a track or two… see Pete play lead guitar!… full out keyboards and maybe even… drums? (oh yeah and the occasion bass).
After releasing part one of The Audio Guide, which received critical acclaim and was deemed by many one of the top albums of the year, JOLLY toured the US and Europe. Again, the airplane food was salty and the flight was long, but the band watched reruns of Friends to pass the time. Shortly after returning from tour, Mike Portnoy asked JOLLY to open for his band Flying Colors at Best Buy Theater in Times Square. He even said: “I am a big fan of the last two Jolly albums and handpicked them to open the Flying Colors show in NYC.”
