Here are some of the quotes from bands that have played at the NJProghouse. As we compile more of the quotes from over the years, we will post them here.
Nick D'Virgilio (Spock's Beard & NDV after his 2002 NJP Gig)
Jim,
Hey there. It's been a week and I wish I was still out there playing. I had a great time and I wanted to say Thank You once again for treating us so well and for putting on a great little gig. It was an awesome way to start the tour. I had a lot of fun hangin out and talking. You have great little family. Please give you wife my best.
That's all for now. I'm back to the grind of daily life and trying to make some plans for the future. I hope we get a chance to hang again soon.
All the best, Nick
Brian Willoughby from Strawbs. (Regarding the Metlar House Fire 2003)
Hi Jim, desperately sorry to hear your sad news. Thank Heavens the damage wasn't total to one of my favourite gigs! I bet the ghost's not too happy!
I wish you all the best with a speedy recovery, my regards to everyone in the organisation, cheers.
Chris Buzby from Echolyn May 2006:
As I said at the show, your entire staff gave us the red-carpet treatment
from minute-one of stepping into the room to the load-out following the show.
{Heck, for the few hours we were there I almost totally forgot about my
5-week-old headcold (upon which Monday morning following the gig my doctor prescribed
another 14-day antibiotic for me for yet another sinus infection...just in
time to dry-out for the Khyber!). There's nothing worse than trying to remember
intricate keyboard parts while singing back-up vocals with a head-cold and a
running-low-on-power-so-I'm-detuning-myself Hammond organ! How often can one
say they've been in THAT situation?!?! I guess I can now!!} ;-)
Anyhow, I know I can speak for the band when we shout out a huge "THANK YOU!"
to your entire "STAPH" (classic t-shirts, BTW - where can I get one?) for
hosting, feeding, and treating us so well with your first-class hospitality and
all-around great vibes. It made the entire day and evening a true pleasure.
And to the folks who were at the show: "THANK YOU" all as well. We are truly
appreciative of your support and belief in us and our music.
We look forward to playing The NJ ProgHouse again soon. As I said to Jim R
after the show, we simply can't let 4 years pass before we play again in NJ.
Hopefully we can get on a 12-18 month cycle instead.
Thanks again to all for a memorable evening!

A Note from Fear Of Flying after thier show on March 25th 2006:
I just wanted to say on behalf of myself and Fear Of Flying...that we were
blown away by the accommodating staff of NJ Proghouse -- it's because
of you, Jim.
As Buddy said, this is your family, and we felt like your NY cousins. They
talk about the wow factor; well, you guys invented it. Not once did I have a
concern about anything...people smiling, cooking, asking what we needed.
Having a Sound man who puts the musicians first!!! I think we found nirvana.
We have been at this for 20 years, and have played many venues. So
needless to say, we are serious about what we do; hopefully, the Band
will get recognized at the right time. We pursue our dreams and try to
touch people, and still deal with the peripheral issues that go along with
playing out. Usually if we are new to a club, we end up having to gain
respect through our playing. There is always an attitude to deal with -- bar
owners, sound engineers, etc. But that's ok, because that's the way it is.
So we get lost in our music; and, at the end of the night, the people who
matter most (the fans), display their approval and applause. Tonight, we
were treated like superstars by you and your staff!
thanks again for giving us a chance.
Sincerely
Tom Occhiogrosso c/o Fear Of Flying
